Chicago based indie artist Stolie has released a new CD tilted Satire Laden Melodies. Falling between the pop sweetness of Jewel or Lisa Loeb and the tart tongue of our own hometown hero Ani DiFranco the nine tracks showcase Stoile’s own songwriting talents. Having honed her craft playing over a hundred live shows a year the songs all have an unbridled energy to them. Highlights here include “All Our Tomorrows” a tender love song, the title track “Satire Laden Melodies” with its pistol shot snare drums and the ominous big beat sound of “Up To The Highlands”.
