"Love's Labour Lost"
By Mira Harber
Kenneth Branagh, English successor to Laurence Olivier has come out with his latest Shakespeare effort in Love's Labour Lost. This is one of those experimental versions of a Shakespeare play - it's now a musical, complete with newscasts of WW2 Nazi Germany and Europe.
The photography and sets are wonderful, but any movie that attempts to have Alicia Silverstone as a Shakespearian heroine is too over the top for me. This gives theatrical a new meaning, and I don't think the meaning works. I'd give this one a miss.
